My name is Jeroen de Groot. I was born in Leiden, The Netherlands, in april 1975. I am the father of two beautifull children (son and daughter) born in 2006 and 2008. Our family of four is living in Alphen aan den Rijn (The Netherlands), near Leiden.

Having been born and raised surrounded by technical people (my father and several of my uncles had their own technical businesses), my interests were drawn to technology from a young age.

When the first computers became available for consumers (at a price people could more or less afford), my father bought one, and this 8086 machine became my introduction to the world of computer technology. 

From that moment on, I became more and more experienced with computers. First as a hobby, later at a professional level.  

My curriculum shows the developments I have had over the years, starting in 1996 when I started to work for a computer manufacturor.
